Breakfast on the Bridge

If we look at the last Sunday, October 10, 2010, the situation in the Harbour Bridge has been turned into a huge park in the middle of Sydney Central Business District (CBD). The article ‘A barefoot betrothal’ which was published in The Sydney Morning Herald (Monday, October 11, 2010) reflects that the Harbour Bridge has been transformed into a large garden, filled with thousands of people. Not just that alone, is also becoming a memorable history for those who get married on the Harbour Bridge, which is a symbol of international tourist attraction. Promotion of Australia as the host for the 2022 World Cup outing also organized a large scale over the bridge, despite facing the heavy rain at 7.15am after the event kicked off at 6.30am.

I still remember the “Breakfast on the Bridge” last year, where many people want to join in so do me. It can’t be imagined where we can turn on the fresh morning air in the middle of Sydney city and to see the beautiful views such as the Opera House is located not far from the bridge. According to the Sydney Morning Herald, 200,000 people applied to have breakfast on the Harbor Bridge, but only 6000 people who successfully elected. Among those present were Australian socceroos, Mark Schwarzer and Tim Cahill. In Paramatta, Sydney's surburban, is also not left out in order to successfully 'Eat Street Sunday' on the same day to enliven the atmosphere on the weekend.

In summary, this festival, Breakfast on the Bridge, has received encouraging response from local communities. The festival is seen successfully captured the hearts of many visitors if they are going soon. In fact, I myself will make sure that I would not miss the chance to join the breakfast in future.
